# Lexora

> Lexora is a free, AI-powered word intelligence platform for Scrabble, crosswords, anagrams and word puzzles. It validates every word against the official TWL (US) and SOWPODS (UK) tournament dictionaries and returns ranked plays with real tile scores.

Lexora helps competitive and casual players find the highest-scoring Scrabble plays, solve crossword patterns with wildcards, unscramble any set of letters into every valid word, and browse curated lists of words by starting letter, ending letter, length and letter content. All tools work in the browser with no sign-up.

## Dictionaries

Lexora uses two tournament dictionaries as the source of truth:
- **TWL06 (Tournament Word List)** — the official Scrabble dictionary used in North America (~178,000 words).
- **SOWPODS / Collins Scrabble Words** — the international list used in the UK, Australia and most other countries (~279,000 words).

Tile values follow the standard Scrabble distribution: A/E/I/L/N/O/R/S/T/U = 1; D/G = 2; B/C/M/P = 3; F/H/V/W/Y = 4; K = 5; J/X = 8; Q/Z = 10.
